The question I get most often, before anything else, is some version of this: but what actually happens?
Not what tantra means philosophically. Not the history of it. What happens in the room, on the day, when you arrive.
It is a fair question and it deserves a straight answer. So here it is.
It Starts With a Real Conversation
Before anything else, we sit together and talk. Not a quick intake form. Not a legal disclaimer. A real conversation.
I want to know what brought you here. I want to understand what you are hoping to experience and what your comfort level is. But it goes beyond logistics. I genuinely want to know who you are. Anything you feel moved to share about your life, what you are carrying, what matters to you, what has been hard or good or unresolved, all of it is welcome and relevant. That quality of being actually seen before anything else begins is part of the work itself.
We also discuss intentions, any boundaries you want to name, and anything that would help you feel settled. Nothing in the session happens without your knowledge and agreement.
A Shower, Then Grounding
After our conversation, you will take a brief shower alone. This is a simple, practical transition, a moment of privacy and cleansing that marks the shift from the outside world into the space of the session. It is unhurried. It is yours.
When you return, before the bodywork begins, we move into a brief introduction to Tantric history and philosophy. Not a lecture. More like a grounding — giving you a little of the context and tradition behind what we are about to do together. This is followed by a short breathwork practice, something simple and guided, designed to bring you into your body and into genuine connection with me before touch begins.
By the time bodywork starts, you are oriented. You are present. You know where you are and why.
What the Session Itself Includes
Tantra Massage at Sensaura is a professional, consent-based bodywork session focused on relaxation, sensation, and a deeper connection with your own body. It is not about performance or fantasy. It is about allowing your body to soften and respond in a calm, well-held setting.
Depending on session length, a session may include some or all of the following. Centering practices that establish presence and attunement, which may include sitting together in Yab-Yum, a posture from Tantric tradition sometimes called Lovers Pose. Breath and sensory awareness techniques that help you notice what is actually happening in your body as it happens. Conscious touch work, which is mindful and deliberate contact focused on connection between practitioner and client. Skilled bodywork combining lighter and deeper pressure to support relaxation, circulation, and heightened body awareness. And optional energetic awareness practices drawn from Tantra philosophy for those who want to explore that dimension.
The session is interactive and tailored to you. You move at your own pace. Nothing is rushed.
How Long Should You Book
The most commonly booked sessions run 3 hours. Two hour sessions are also less frequent but still common. This range gives each element room to breathe. There is no rushing through the conversation or cutting the breathwork short to get to the bodywork. Everything completes itself. For anyone who is new to this work, a session in this range is what allows the experience to settle into something genuinely full rather than something glimpsed.
If scheduling or budget means a shorter session makes more sense for you right now, that is completely understood and accommodated. The commitment to a safe, professional, and supportive experience does not change based on length. The minimum session is 90 minutes. That is enough time to experience the foundational elements and it can be genuinely meaningful. It is, however, the floor rather than the ideal. As a collective we strongly suggest Two hours or more.
Who This Work Is For
It is worth being honest here, because clarity serves everyone.
This work is not the right fit if what you are seeking is climax, release in a transactional sense, or mutual touch for stimulation rather than connection or reassurance. That is not what I offer, and knowing that upfront saves everyone time.
What I offer is something rooted in presence and genuine connection. Tantra is a sacred practice. It asks for openness, maturity, and a sincere willingness to be fully present — in yourself and with me.
The people who receive the most from this work tend to understand a few things going in. That it is about embodiment, not escape. That depth matters more than transaction. That what is being remembered here is your own authentic self, not a performance for anyone else.
To step into this work, all that is needed is presence, respect, and a genuine readiness to explore.
If those words speak to you, you are welcome here. If they do not, trusting that another path may serve you better is itself a wise and honest choice.
My Own Honest Take
I have been doing this work for more than two decades. What still moves me, session after session, is how rarely most people give themselves permission to simply receive. Not to monitor whether they are relaxing correctly. Not to manage the experience from a slight distance. Just to arrive and let the body be genuinely cared for.
That is what a well-held tantra massage session makes possible. And in my experience, the people who arrive most uncertain, most in their heads, most convinced they will not be able to let go, those are often the ones who exhale the deepest, somewhere in the middle of it, when the body finally decides it is safe.
If you are at the beginning of wondering whether this is for you, I hope this gave you something real to hold.
